Plush Fiction

Backstory:
Plush Fiction emerged from the vibrant underground music scene of Portland, Oregon, in 2017. The band was born when childhood friends Mia Torres (vocals, guitar) and Leo Grant (bass) reunited after years apart, driven by a shared desire to blend nostalgic sounds with fresh, experimental energy. Joined soon after by drummer Samir Patel and keyboardist Eliza Kim, Plush Fiction quickly became known for their dreamy melodies and thought-provoking lyrics that explore themes of identity, memory, and escapism.

Over the years, Plush Fiction has built a dedicated fanbase through their dynamic live performances and heartfelt storytelling. Their sound draws heavily from 90s alternative rock and modern indie pop, creating a unique sonic landscape that feels both familiar and new. Their debut album, “Velvet Reverie,” released in 2019, garnered critical acclaim and set the stage for their continuing evolution as one of the most intriguing bands in the indie music world.

“Echoes in the Static”

Full Song Lyrics with Chord Progression:

[Verse 1]
G D
Flickering lights in a crowded room
Em C
Faces blur, but your eyes find me soon

Words unspoken, drifting through the air

Caught in the silence, a moment we share

[Chorus]

Echoes in the static, calling my name
D Em
Lost in the noise, but it feels the same

Hold onto the shadows, fading away
D Em
With you, I’m alive, come what may

[Verse 2]
G D
City streets hum a familiar tune
Em C
Under the glow of a silver moon

Time slips softly, like waves on the shore

With every heartbeat, I’m wanting more

Echoes in the static, calling my name
D Em
Lost in the noise, but it feels the same
C G
Hold onto the shadows, fading away

With you, I’m alive, come what may

G D
Flickering lights in a crowded room
Em C
With you, I’m alive, come what may
