Modest Geese

Backstory:
Modest Geese was formed in 2012 by a group of high school friends from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Band members Charlie (lead vocals, guitar), Jessie (bass guitar), Ted (drums), and Alex (keyboard), initially began playing music together as a way to unwind during the weekends. The name Modest Geese was chosen as an homage to their humble beginnings – jamming in their parents’ garages while trying not to disturb the neighborhood with their honking music. As they matured, so did their sound, attracting a local fan base and eventually leading to gigs in local bars and venues. Their unique blend of genres and relatable lyrics resonated with a diverse audience, and they soon found themselves on the road touring the East Coast.

Spotted Pit

Backstory:
Formed in the narrow alleyways and underground tunnels of New York City, Spotted Pit was born from a love of music and a desire to create something truly unique. Originally, the band was just a group of friends playing music in their garages, but their shared dream of making it big in the music industry pushed them to start playing in local bars and open mics. After a chance encounter with a talent scout at one of these open mics, the band’s gritty sound caught the attention of a major record label, and the rest, as they say, is history. Despite their success, Spotted Pit remains true to their roots, creating music as a means of self-expression and connection, rather than for fame or fortune.

“Shadows in the Alley”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G C Em D
In the dark corners of the city, where the light barely shines,
We found our voices, in the silence, we crafted our lines.
Strumming chords of hope, on the strings of despair,
Our melody echoed, it was a love affair.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Shadows in the alley, dancing to our song,
The rhythm of our heartbeats, where we belong.
Spotted pit of dreams, in the city so wide,
We found our destiny, with music as our guide.

(Verse 2)
G C Em D
Strangers turned into friends, and friends into a crew,
The rhythm of the city, in our veins it grew.
The echoes of our dreams, resonating so loud,
In the heart of the city, we found our crowd.

(Chorus)
Em C G D
Shadows in the alley, swaying to our beat,
The rhythm of our heartbeats, our journey so sweet.
Spotted pit of dreams, in the city so vast,
With our music, we’re free at last.
