Backstory:
Descriptive Philosophy began its journey in the cloudy city of Seattle in 2012. Its members, a group of philosophy college dropouts, decided to express their unique perspectives of the world through music. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Lucas Warner, bassist Oliver James, drummer Amelia Shaw, and keyboardist Ethan Hart. What started as a hobby, turned into their passion and career. They started off playing small gigs in local bars, gradually gaining a fan base with their intriguing lyrics and soulful music. Their breakthrough came when they were discovered by a talent scout at an underground music festival in 2015 and signed on to a record label.

Title:
“Existential Echoes”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em G D A
Riding on the waves of time,
Em G D A
With thoughts that intertwine,
Em G D A
In the labyrinth of my mind,
Em G D A
Seeking what we never find.
(Chorus)
C G D A
Existential echoes rebound,
C G D A
In a world that’s lost and found,
C G D A
Where truth is relative, profound,
C G D A
In existential echoes, we are bound.
(Verse)
Em G D A
Gazing at the starry night,
Em G D A
In search of wrong and right,
Em G D A
A journey through fear and plight,
Em G D A
An endless philosophical fight.
(Chorus)
C G D A
Existential echoes in the air,
C G D A
A universe of despair and repair,
C G D A
Our existence, a solitaire,
C G D A
In existential echoes, we dare.
Fan’s Testimonial:
My name is Erica, and I’ve been a fan of Descriptive Philosophy since their early days in Seattle. As a philosophy student myself, I was immediately drawn to their thought-provoking lyrics and soulful melodies. They have a unique way of intertwining deep philosophical concepts with heart-touching music. Every song they make is like a philosophy lesson set to a beautiful soundtrack. Their music is not just entertainment, it’s an enriching experience that makes you question the world around you while enjoying some really good rock. “Existential Echoes” is my favorite track – it touches on the existentialist ideas I hold dear and wraps them up in a beautiful, haunting melody. For me, there’s no other band that does it like Descriptive Philosophy. They are truly one of a kind.
