Backstory:
Capital Destruction was formed in 2010 amidst the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas. Three college mates, lead vocalist Derek Smith, drummer Casey Wright, and bassist Aidan Doyle, became fast friends through their shared passion for music and a shared defiance of societal norms. With a vision to create music that embodied their rebellious spirit and a bold criticism of the modern capitalist world, Capital Destruction was born.
The band spent their first years performing at local venues and festivals, and their raw energy and distinct sound quickly gained traction. Their debut album, ‘Revolution Rhythm’, released in 2013, was a critical success and went on to be nominated for several music awards, setting them on a path to national recognition and solidifying their place in the alternative music scene.

Title:
“Profit Over People”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G F E
Wake up, it’s just another day, the suits are on their way,
Am G F E
The city’s crying out, but they’ve got nothing to say.
Am G F E
Chasing shadows in the dark, numbing every spark,
Am G F E
Reality’s a game, and we’re stuck in the park.
(Chorus)
Am G F E
Profit over people, it’s the anthem they sing,
Am G F E
Can’t you hear the madness, in the chaos they bring?
Am G F E
Won’t drown in the silence, we’ll break out, we’ll scream,
Am G F E
Capital destruction, it’s not just a dream.
(Verse 2)
Am G F E
Crumbling castles in the sky, watch as dreams pass by,
Am G F E
Cogs in the machine, we refuse to comply.
Am G F E
Shattered illusions, truth unveiled,
Am G F E
With voices as weapons, we won’t be derailed.
(Chorus)
Am G F E
Profit over people, it’s the anthem they sing,
Am G F E
Can’t you hear the madness, in the chaos they bring?
Am G F E
Won’t drown in the silence, we’ll break out, we’ll scream,
Am G F E
Capital destruction, it’s not just a dream.
