Backstory:
Trivial Democrat is a band born out of the ashes of a college rock band, ‘Barefoot Chardonnay’. Graduated and disillusioned with the mundanity of everyday life, the three members, Charlie Harrison (vocals and guitar), Sofia Ruiz (drums), and Peter O’Donnell (bass), came together to create music that would reflect their views on society, politics, and life in general. Taking inspiration from their shared love for punk rock, they formed ‘Trivial Democrat’ in 2015 in a tiny garage in downtown Los Angeles.

After meeting punk bassist, Angela Martin at a local jam session and jazz drummer, Tommy Sullivan in their music theory class, the quartet felt an undeniable chemistry and Graceful Beast was born. New Mirror was birthed in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee in 2009. Childhood friends Alex, Morgan, and Casey had always shared a mutual dream of starting a band, so when a high school talent show came around, they decided it was their chance to shine. They combined their talents, Alex on drums, Morgan on guitar and vocals, and Casey on bass and backup vocals, and started their journey. The name “New Mirror” was inspired by the band’s belief in self-reflection and growth.
