Female Register

Backstory:
Female Register is a progressive all-female indie rock band that was formed in 2013 in the vibrant music scene of Portland, Oregon. The band consists of lead vocalist and bassist, Emma Ford, guitarist Jenna Walsh, and drummer Lisa Monroe. They met at a local music festival and soon discovered their shared passion for music and the desire to break gender stereotypes in the rock genre. After jamming together for a few months in Lisa’s garage, they decided to form the band with the aim of promoting female empowerment and supporting social equality through their music.

Backstory:
Self-Reliant Funding was formed in the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas back in 2007. The band members, lead singer/guitarist Daniel “Danny” Greene, bassist Audrey “Aud” Mitchell, drummer Jake “Rhythm” Sandler, and keyboardist Emma “Em” Watson, initially met while working at various crowdfunding startups in the Silicon Hills. Recognizing their mutual love for music and their shared frustration with the rigid structure of the corporate world, they decided to merge their passions and create a band. They chose the name ‘Self-Reliant Funding’ as a nod to their tech backgrounds and their commitment to remain independent in the music industry.

Hailing from the vibrant city of New Orleans, Fat Generation started as a group of high school friends who shared a passion for music and the culinary arts. The quartet met at a local culinary school where they bonded over their love of food and rhythm. Eventually, they decided to take a break from the kitchen and fully commit to their musical pursuits. Born among the glittering lights of Las Vegas, Flickering Angel was formed in 2005 by childhood friends, lead vocalist and guitarist, Aiden Stone, and drummer, Lenny Walsh. The two musicians were raised in a world saturated by the buzzing energy of Sin City, and this upbringing cultivated their passion for music. As they maneuvered the trials and tribulations of life, they discovered their ability to channel their experiences into captivating melodies, thus Flickering Angel was born. Crooked Ocean was formed in the heart of Melbourne, Australia in 2013, when childhood friends Jacob “Jay” Harper and Noah Dean began experimenting with different music styles after college. Born in the heart of Durham, North Carolina, Negligible Bronze emerged from a union of four college friends in 2015, each bringing a unique musical background. The band members, James Hargrove (lead vocals, guitar), Adrian Lopez (bass), Naomi Clarke (drums), and Oliver Adams (keyboard), all met at Durham’s renowned Duke University.
