Puny Housing

Backstory:
Puny Housing first formed in the chilly autumn of 2014 in a cramped apartment in the East Village of New York City. Founding members, Lucy Thompson on vocals, and Jesse Karr on drums, were college roommates who spent their evenings making music while balancing part-time jobs and study. One fateful night, they met street performer, Sol Redding, playing an old beat-up guitar. The chemistry was instant, and the trio decided to pool their talents together. With this, Puny Housing was born, creating tunes inspired by their small living conditions and the hustle and bustle of city life.

Genre:
Puny Housing’s sound is an eclectic blend of indie-rock with elements of folk and punk. Their music often features raw and honest lyrics, layered harmonies, and an energizing rhythm section.

Title:
“Echoes in the Empty Room”

Full Song Lyrics:
[Intro: Am, G, F, E]

(Verse 1 – Am, G, F, E)
In the corners of this puny housing,
We’re lost in time, amid the chaos and the rhyming,
City lights outside, they flicker and they’re dying,
But in here, our dreams are quietly thriving.

(Chorus – Dm, G, C, Am)
Echoes in the empty room,
Breathing life in every nook and cranny.
We’ve got nothing to lose,
In this puny housing, we’re making our destiny.

(Verse 2 – Am, G, F, E)
The walls, they may be thin,
Our neighbors can hear our din,
But we’re painting tales on these peeling skins,
In our puny housing, every night, it’s a win.

(Chorus – Dm, G, C, Am)
Echoes in the empty room,
Resonating louder than any symphony.
We’ve got no space to move,
In this puny housing, yet we’re free.

(Outro – Dm, G, C, Am)
In this puny housing, we’ve found our groove,
Echoes in the empty room, it’s our only truth.

“My name is Sarah. I’ve been a fan of Puny Housing since their early days. I remember seeing them perform at a local club, their energy just blew me away. Their music speaks to me in a way that no other band has been able to. It’s raw, authentic, and it perfectly encapsulates the struggle and charm of city life. Puny Housing isn’t just a band for me, they’re a beacon of hope and resilience in a world that often feels too big and overwhelming.”
