Required Tub

Backstory:
Required Tub’s music journey started in a small garage in Akron, Ohio. The founding members, two high school best friends, Jason Rogers and Matthew ‘Matty’ Stevens, were always seen noodling around with their guitars after school. Their shared love for music led them to form a band after graduation. They named it ‘Required Tub’, inspired by an old vintage bathtub found in the garage they practiced in. Soon, they were joined by drummer, Micky ‘Thunder’ Collins, and bassist, Andy Johnson, and their journey of making music together officially began.

Their initial years were filled with ceaseless jamming sessions, local gigs, and numerous unsuccessful attempts to break into the music industry. However, their perseverance finally paid off when they were discovered by a talent scout during a local music festival. Their powerful performance left an undeniable impression, leading to a record deal that would turn Required Tub into one of the most popular bands of their generation.

Genre:
Required Tub’s music transcends the boundary of a single genre. Their sound is a distinct blend of Alternative Rock and Indie Folk, with a hint of psychedelia that sets them apart from their contemporaries.

“Float on the Ripples”

Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1 – Am, C, G, F)
Am
In the midst of chaos,
C
I found my peace in the bathtub,

Reflections in the water,
F
I saw what we had was love.

C
Float on the ripples, past the pain,
G
Where the love remains,
Am
Sailing through the memories,
F
Till we wash away the strain.

(Verse 2 – Am, C, G, F)
Am
Under the water,
C
I heard the beat of our song,
G
Echoes of laughter,
F
And where we truly belong.

(Chorus – C, G, Am, F)
C
Float on the ripples, past the fears,
G
Through the rolling tears,
Am
Moving with the melodies,
F
To the rhythm of the years.
