Serpentine Limit

Backstory:
Hailing from the ever-vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee, Serpentine Limit was born in the summer of 2011. The band was initially a two-man show, with high school pals Dominic “Dom” Harper on vocals and guitar, and Jesse “Jet” Taylor on drums. The duo’s sound, raw and untamed, echoed through the local bars and coffee shops until it caught the ear Jake “Jax” Monroe, an acclaimed bass player. Monroe, a veteran of the Memphis music scene, was instantly captivated by the pair’s energy and vision. With Monroe’s arrival, Serpentine Limit found its necessary third dimension, and the trio’s sound expanded beyond the limits of their previous work. The band has been rocking the local music scene and gaining international attention ever since.

Genre:
Serpentine Limit’s unique sound blends the raw energy of classic rock with the soulful undertones of blues and a dash of psychedelia.

Title:
“Viper’s Hymn”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C G Am F
She waits in the shadows, her eyes glow in the dark,
C G Am F
Silent as a secret, and fierce as a spark.
C G Am F
Her skin is like satin, her words are like venom,
C G Am F
She’s the viper in the garden, she’s the devil’s emblem.

(Chorus)
C G Am F
Singin’ the Viper’s Hymn, a melody of sin,
C G Am F
Caught in her hypnotic gaze, where do I begin?
C G Am F
She’s the fire in my veins, a wound that never mends,
C G Am F
Caught in the rhythm of the Viper’s Hymn.

(Verse 2)
C G Am F
She moves like a whisper, she strikes like a scream,
C G Am F
In the dead of the night, in the heart of a dream.
C G Am F
She’s the poison in the pleasure, the danger in the dare,
C G Am F
She’s the serpentine limit, she’s the sweet despair.

(Repeat Chorus)

Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is undoubtedly Melissa “Mel” Thompson. Ever since she first saw us play in a small bar in Memphis, she’s been to every show she could attend. For Mel, we go beyond music. She says, “Serpentine Limit’s music is like a journey. It’s dark, it’s beautiful, and it’s real. Their sound takes me to different places, and it’s like therapy for me. The guys are not just musicians, but poets and storytellers. Their music is raw, authentic, and speaks to me on a level that no other band has ever done. They are my favorite not because they are perfect, but because they are real, and their music reflects that.” We can’t express enough appreciation for her unwavering support and love.
