Backstory:

Born amidst the snow-covered peaks of Ottawa, Canada, Aware Winter came together as a band in 2007. The ensemble consists of four kindred spirits – Jack McRae (vocals, guitar), Sophia Kermani (bass, backing vocals), Noah McGregor (drums) , and Liam O’Rourke (keyboard, backing vocals). Initially, they were just high school friends with a shared love for music and cold Canadian winters. After winning a local Battle of the Bands competition, they decided to push beyond their small-town roots and make a name for themselves in the music industry. Aware Winter’s unique sound combines influences from their frosty environment with their warm inner emotions, creating an ambient soundscape that resonates with listeners worldwide.
