Impure Steel

Backstory:
Formed in the steel town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2004, Impure Steel is a band made up of four childhood friends who shared a love for music and a deep-seated connection to their blue-collar roots. The band’s frontman, Tommy “Rust” Russo, along with guitarist Johnny “Smelter” Smith, bassist Billy “Forge” Franklin, and drummer Mikey “Molten” Murphy, created a unique sound that encapsulates the spirit of their hometown, blending the grit of their working-class upbringing with fiery musical talent.

Over the years, Impure Steel has strived to stay true to their roots, using their music as a testament to the hardworking men and women they grew up around. Their journey has not been without its struggles, from line-up changes to personal tragedies, but these challenges only added to the raw authenticity of their music. Today, the band has a solid following, connecting with fans who are drawn to their unfiltered portrayal of life, love, and the pursuit of dreams against all odds.
