Backstory:

Wordy Mint is a band hailing from the eclectic music scene of Austin, Texas, formed in 2014. The band comprises of four members: lead vocalist and pianist Sam ‘Wordy’ Hernandez, guitarist and backup vocalist Jake ‘Minty’ Rogers, drummer Bella ‘Beat’ Patterson, and bassist Leo ‘Bassmint’ Gomez. They met in college through their shared love of music and poetry, and they decided to form a band that combined these two passions, hence the name Wordy Mint.

Their music is a unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics and memorable melodies, which has earned them a dedicated fanbase. The group’s chemistry is electric, and their live performances are known for their passionate delivery and improvisational elements. With Hernandez’s soulful voice, Rogers’ innovative guitar solos, Patterson’s robust drumming, and Gomez’s driving bass lines, Wordy Mint has become a beloved fixture in Austin’s music scene.
