Backstory:
Ironclad Owner was formed in the gritty heart of Detroit, Michigan in 2006. The four founding members, all childhood friends, found solace in the rhythm of music amidst the challenges of urban life. Tommy “Ironclad” Johnson, the band’s charismatic lead singer and chief songwriter, held a deep understanding of the struggles of the working class, which he conveyed through his contemplative lyrics. Bassist Eddie “Owner” O’Brien, drummer Sam “The Hammer” Davis, and guitarist Mikey “Strings” Michaels, all contributed to the band’s powerful sound.
Their journey was not easy. They faced numerous roadblocks and challenges along the way. However, their dedication and unyielding perseverance translated into their music, which slowly but surely, gained them a dedicated fan base. They found their inspiration from their struggling city, using their music to share the strength and resilience they found within themselves and their community.
