Backstory:

Formed in the gritty backstreets of Detroit, Metallic Discount is a group of four thrash metal savants who turned their passion for music into a revolution. The band got together in 2004, consisting of lead singer and guitarist Axel Irons, drummer Billy ‘Blastbeat’ Davis, rhythm guitarist Zack ‘Ziggy’ Devereaux, and bassist Eddie ‘E-string’ Turner. They started in a basement, creating music that, while loud and raw, expressed their social and political views. Their name – Metallic Discount – is a nod to their underdog beginnings, combining the harsh realities of life with the symbolism of metal music, all while retaining a sense of humor about their budget constraints.

Their journey was marked by small gigs at local bars and underground clubs before their game-changing performance at the annual ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition in 2006. Their raw energy and unfiltered lyrics resonated with the audience, leading to a quick rise in popularity and a loyal fan base that grew exponentially with each passing year.
