Backstory:
Petty Egg was formed in the bustling city of Toronto, Canada, in the fall of 2011. Childhood friends, Charlie Wells and Alex Brown, discovered their shared love of music during a high school talent show. Charlie, a gifted guitarist, and Alex, a soulful singer with a knack for lyrical storytelling, decided to start a band, naming it Petty Egg – an anagram of their favorite band, Pretty Edge. They soon recruited drummer Lisa Mccormick and bassist Harry Stiles. The four-piece group started playing local gigs, developing a loyal following with their unique sound.
After a few years of refining their sound and getting their name out there, they were noticed by a talent scout from a renowned record company who happened to be in town. Impressed by their raw talent and distinctive sound, the scout signed them immediately. With a record deal under their belt, Petty Egg was on their way to making their mark in the music industry.

Title:
“Glass Carnival”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1 – E, B, A, B)
I met you at the edge of the Glass Carnival, (E, B)
Underneath the neon lights, both lost and enthralled. (A, B)
The Ferris wheel spun like our hearts, tumbling, (E, B)
And through the crowd, your laugh was my call. (A, B)
(Chorus – C#, A, B, E)
At the Glass Carnival, we danced in shattered dreams, (C#, A)
Underneath the starburst skies and cotton candy themes. (B, E)
With every spin, every rise, every fall, (C#, A)
You were my mirror, my echo, my all. (B, E)
(Verse 2 – E, B, A, B)
Through the House of Mirrors, we chased our echoes, (E, B)
Laughing at our distorted images, letting go of our woes. (A, B)
With every twist, every turn, every corner, (E, B)
I saw us reflected in each other, the love we harbor.

I’ve never loved a band the way I love Petty Egg. Their music just speaks to me on a personal level that no other artist has ever done before. Their song “Glass Carnival” is my absolute favorite. It’s like they’ve somehow captured the essence of my youth and put it into words and music. The way they blend their melodies with soulful lyrics has a profound effect on me. I never miss their concerts, and every time I listen to their songs, I feel like they’re serenading my soul. They’re not just a band to me; they’re my escape, my solace, my joy.
