Backstory:
‘Astonishing Bath’ was born out of the spontaneous convergence of four college roommates at the University of Bath in England. Originally, all four had pursued individual paths in the music industry, with Sam ‘Suds’ Sullivan as a classically trained violinist, James ‘Bubbles’ Baker with his deep roots in folk music, Mark ‘Foam’ Foster with aspirations in R&B, and Peter ‘Plug’ Plummer, an electronic music fanatic. One fateful night in late 2014, amidst the usual college antics, the guys found themselves in an impromptu jam session in their shared bathroom, due to its surprisingly excellent acoustics. The mix of their musical backgrounds resulted in a unique sound, and they decided to form a band, naming it ‘Astonishing Bath’, as a nod to their origin story.
Genre:
Indie Pop-Alternative with elements of Folk, R&B, Classical, and Electronic music.
