Simplistic Help

Backstory:

Born out of the close-knit neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, Simplistic Help is a 4-piece ensemble that came together in 2016. Childhood friends, Jake Harrison (lead vocals, guitar), Mia Thompson (bass, backup vocals), Ethan Marshall (drums), and Liam Davis (keyboard, backup vocals), felt a common connection through their shared love for music. Their journey began in Jake’s garage, where they spent countless hours piecing together melodies and lyrics until their sound began to take shape. They called themselves Simplistic Help, a nod to their belief in the power of music in providing comfort and solace in the simplest yet most profound ways.

In 2018, they started playing in local cafes and pubs, all the while working on their debut album. Shortly thereafter, they started earning a following. Their music resonated with listeners who found solace in their soulful lyrics and melodies, inspiring them to continue creating music that heals and uplifts.

Title:
“Silhouettes in the Rain”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Walking alone under the [Em] streetlight glow,
[C] Silhouettes in the rain, [D] where do they go?
[G] Broken hearts, unspoken [Em] dreams,
[C] They all find solace in the [D] moonlight’s gleam.

(Chorus)
[G] We are the lost, we are the [Em] found,
[C] Dancing in the shadows, no one [D] around.
[G] We are the echoes of [Em] unsung melodies,
[C] Simplistic help in [D] complex realities.

(Verse 2)
[G] Fragile whispers in the [Em] cold night air,
[C] Sharing secrets with the [D] stars, in their silent stare.
[G] Wandering souls, stories [Em] untold,
[C] In the quiet night, courage [D] unfolds.

(Chorus)
[G] We are the words, we are the [Em] silent cries,
[C] Lost in the rhythm of the [D] starry skies.
[G] We are the echoes of [Em] unsung melodies,
[C] Simplistic help in [D] complex realities.
