Backstory:
Grim System was formed in the heart of Detroit in 2009, when four high school friends decided to channel their love for music and their shared experiences of growing up in a struggling city. The band consists of Jake Kilroy (vocalist), Benny Hart (guitarist), Noah Peterson (drummer), and Ethan Walker (bassist). Their shared dreams and struggles led them to create a unique sound that reflected their gritty reality. They started off playing in local bars, and slowly gained recognition in the underground scene for their raw energy and heart-felt lyrics.
After a few years of relentless touring and honing their sound, they caught the attention of a major record label. They released their debut album in 2014, which skyrocketed them to national fame. Despite their newfound success, they remained true to their roots, using their platform to shed light on issues affecting their home city and the world at large.
