Pessimistic Cathedral

Backstory:
Pessimistic Cathedral was formed in the rain-soaked streets of Seattle in 2004. It began as a passion project for lead vocalist and guitarist, Michael “Crow” Corbin, who craved an outlet for his sorrow-laden lyrics and haunting melodies. After a chance meeting at a dive bar’s open-mic night, bassist Rachel “Raven” O’Reilly and drummer Sebastian “Sparrow” Matthews joined the band, bringing with them a sense of unity and cohesiveness to Crow’s anguished compositions. Pessimistic Cathedral rose from the underground music scene, playing at local clubs and gaining a faithful following among the city’s disenchanted youth.

Title:
“Drowned in Shadows”

Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Em C G
Living in a world that’s painted black and grey,
D Em
No warmth in sight, no break of day.
Em C G
Falling deep into the void, no light to guide,
D Em
Only darkness by my side.

(Chorus)
G D Em
Drowned in shadows, lost in despair,
C G D
Where is the solace, who’s gonna care?
G D Em
Stranded in sorrow, steeped in regret,
C G D
This is the anthem, we’ll never forget.

Testimonial:
Amelia states, “Pessimistic Cathedral is more than just a band for me, they are a lifeline. Their haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics resonate with my experience. They’re not just playing music; they’re voicing the pain, despair, and the existential angst that many of us grapple with. Their music is an outlet, a solace in the midst of chaos. For me, they’re not merely musicians; they’re poets of the dark.”
