Backstory:
Offbeat Support was born in the vibrant and colorful streets of New Orleans. The band first got together in a dingy bar in the French Quarter in 2012. Reggie “Red” Jenkins, the drummer, was a bartender there, sneaking in drum solos when he wasn’t serving drinks. Binky “Blues” McGee, the bassist, was a street musician who often stopped by to play a few tunes between shifts. When they heard that a mysterious, talented pianist named Claudia “C-note” Henderson was moving to town, they knew they had to meet her. The trio instantly clicked, and Offbeat Support was born.
Offbeat Support is all about good vibes, community, and supporting each other, which is reflected in their music. They’ve played in countless bars and festivals across the country, and while they’ve never hit the mainstream, they’ve built a passionate following who love them for their unique sound and their genuine, down-to-earth personalities.
