Backstory:
Stale Transport is a story of four long-time friends who grew up in the industrial town of Akron, Ohio. The band members – Jack on vocals and guitar, Tim on bass, Chris on drums, and Matt on keyboards – were all employees in the same transport company that was unfortunately shut down. Feeling the staleness of life without their jobs, they started to channel their experiences and emotions into music. Stale Transport was born in a dusty old garage, with a strong desire to break free from their monotonous life and to carve out a fresh new path for themselves. Their songs are a tribute to their blue-collar backgrounds, speaking about the everyday struggles, dreams, and the resilience of the common man.
Genre:
Stale Transport’s music falls under the Alternative Rock genre, with a hint of Blues, reflecting their gritty life experiences and raw emotions.
Title:
“Steel and Rust”
Song Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
C G Am Em
I’m a vessel of steel and rust,
F C G
carrying hopes turned to dust.
C G Am Em
In the heartland of the brave and just,
F C G
we’re just machines in the crust.
[Chorus]
Am Em F C
Oh, we’re just steel and rust,
G C Am Em
dreaming of a life beyond the dust.
F C G
We’re not broken, just bent,
Am Em F C
in the tale of Stale Transport, we represent.
[Verse 2]
C G Am Em
In the echo of the factory’s hum,
F C G
we find a rhythm, beating like a drum.
C G Am Em
In the grime and sweat, our song is sung,
F C G
of the times when we were young.
[Chorus]
Am Em F C
Oh, we’re still steel and rust,
G C Am Em
yearning for a tomorrow we can trust.
F C G
We’re not lost, just spent,
Am Em F C
in the tale of Stale Transport, we relent.
Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a middle-aged man named Mike. Mike worked in the same transport company with the band members and has been their supporter since the inception of the band. He used to play the harmonica during their lunch breaks, unknowingly inspiring the band’s music. Mike loves Stale Transport because their songs directly speak to him and his experiences. As he puts it, “Their music is raw and real. It’s not just about the glamour and glitz of rock n roll. It’s about real people, with real struggles and real dreams. It’s the soundtrack of our lives.”
