Backstory:
Cold Volunteer was birthed from the icy chill of a harsh winter in the heart of Chicago, 2007. Longtime friends, Tom Whittaker (lead vocals, guitar) and George Reilly (drums) sought solace from the unforgiving cold in their shared love of music, jamming in the poorly heated garage they dubbed as their rehearsal space. As the winter grew colder, their bond and the music grew stronger, ultimately culminating in the formation of ‘Cold Volunteer’. The band was later joined by Grace Mendoza (bass, backup vocals) and Peter “Pete” Donovan (lead guitar), adding more layers to their unique sound.
