Backstory:
Impressive Devil was born in the heart of Detroit, Michigan, in an abandoned warehouse turned make-shift studio in 2009. The band was formed by a rebellious trio of childhood friends: lead vocalist and guitarist Josh “Scorcher” Turner, bassist Gary “Grimm” Rhodes, and drummer, Chris “Specter” Dunne. The three had shared their love for music through years of sneaking into gigs, dreaming of being on stage, and playing their hearts out in that echoing warehouse. Their bond, combined with their passion for music, fueled their determination to break through the noise of the music industry.
In the early days, Impressive Devil faced countless rejections, failed gigs, and broken equipment. The turning point came when they used their last bit of money to record a demo that landed in the hands of renowned record producer, Vince Richardson. Impressed by their raw talent and unique sound, he took the band under his wing and helped them refine their music without losing their originality. The band’s determination, combined with Richardson’s guidance, led to their breakthrough in the rock scene, making them one of the most influential bands of the 21st century.
Genre:
