Backstory:
Courageous Income is a compelling rock band that arose from the vibrant music scene in Austin, Texas. The integral members of the band, frontman Jake Wells, drummer Max Stein, bassist Oliver Pierce, and guitarist Simon Rhodes, all met while attending the University of Texas. They soon realized their shared passion for music, especially classic rock, and decided to form a band after an impromptu jam session on their dormitory rooftop. Their shared experiences, heartaches, and student lifestyle struggles have inspired their music and connected them to their audience.
The name ‘Courageous Income’ was born from their time as struggling students, living off ramen, and taking chances with their music despite the looming uncertainty of financial stability. It serves as a reminder of their humble beginnings and the bravery it took to pursue their passion.
