Backstory:
Political Motion is a remarkable band that was formed in the vibrant city of Seattle during the mid-90s, at the peak of the grunge movement. The members; Victor ‘Vic’ Marshall, Leo ‘Lightning’ Davis, Rick ‘Ricochet’ Simmons, and George ‘Gyro’ Harrison, were all students at the University of Washington with a shared passion for using music to express their political views and societal concerns. They initially began as a garage band, performing at local pubs and college festivals, until their unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics with powerful melodies caught the attention of a talent scout from a prominent record label.
The band members all had diverse musical influences, from punk to folk, which contributed to Political Motion’s distinctive sound. Their commitment to addressing social issues through music, coupled with their dedication to their craft, soon catapulted them into the national arena.
