Backstory:
Ultimate Significance, often shortened to UltSig by their fans, was born out of the grunge-filled basements of Chicago’s underground music scene. The band was formed in 2009, when four college students, Jesse “Jester” Matthews (lead vocalist), Harry “Hellfire” Kingston (lead guitarist), Leon “Low-End” Duncan (bass guitarist), and Micky “Madman” Morrison (drummer) discovered their shared passion for music that wasn’t only entertaining, but also thought-provoking and soul-stirring. After several late-night jam sessions and a few gigs at local bars, they realized they had something unique. Their music spoke to the angst of their generation, but also offered a beacon of hope, earning them a loyal following that continues to grow.
