“Whispers of Appalachia”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Intro: G C D G]

Verse 1:
[G] Down by the gleeful river, [C] under the blue ridge sky,
[D] Where the whispers of Appalachia [G] lull you by.

[D] In the land where the bluegrass grows, [G] peace you’ll find.

Chorus:
[C] Oh, whispers of Appalachia, [D] echo in my soul,
[G] Your stories keep me grounded, [Em] making me whole.
[C] From the peaks to the valleys, [D] your spirit forever free,
[G] Whispers of Appalachia, [D] be a part of me.

Verse 2:
[G] The sun sets over Smoky, [C] painting the sky red,
[D] As we sing songs of our homeland, [G] where our roots are spread.
[G] The river runs, endlessly flowing, [C] just like our melody,
[D] In the heart of Appalachia, [G] is where we’ll always be.

(Repeat Chorus)

Outro:
[C] Your whispers keep calling, [D] over the river wide,
[G] To the land of the blue ridge, [D] where our hearts reside.

Favorite Fan Testimony:
Our most devoted fan is a charming lady named Marianne. She first heard Gleeful River at a local music festival and has since attended every single show of theirs. Marianne says, “Gleeful River’s songs resonate with my soul. It’s like they’ve put my thoughts and feelings into their lyrics. Their music is not just a melody to my ears, it’s a melody to my heart. Each performance of theirs makes me feel closer to my roots and the home I’ve left behind. They are not just a band for me, they are a piece of home.”
