Obese Insurance

Backstory:

Obese Insurance was formed in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, in 2008 when three out-of-work insurance salesmen, Henry Wilson, Frank Davis, and Marcus Thompson, decided to give their shared passion for music a shot. With a shared love for anything unconventional and a keen sense of humor, they found themselves writing songs about their experiences in the insurance industry and, more broadly, their observations of the world around them.

Their unique sound quickly caught the attention of local music enthusiasts. Their upbeat melodies, paired with their tongue-in-cheek lyrics, made them a hit in local bars and clubs. Their performances were packed with energy, sarcasm, and an uncanny ability to make audiences laugh and dance at the same time. Before long, Obese Insurance had taken their act on the road, touring across the United States and capturing the hearts of fans with their distinctive style and infectious enthusiasm.

Genre:

Obese Insurance is best described as Indie Pop with a twist of Funk and Punk.

Song Title:

“Premiums of Love”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[C]Walking down the avenue, late at night,
[G]Selling insurance with no one in sight,
[Am]Met you under the streetlight’s glow,
[F]Premiums of love, I got to show.

(Chorus)
[C]Oh, our love is like a premium;
[G]Sometimes high, sometimes low.
[Am]But through all the ups and downs,
[F]Your love is the best insurance, don’t let go.

(Verse 2)
[C]Trying to sell you policies you don’t need,
[G]Lost in my pitches and corporate greed,
[Am]Your smile made me slow my roll,
[F]For premiums of love have taken their toll.

(Chorus)
[C]Oh, our love is like a premium;
[G]Sometimes high, sometimes low.
[Am]Through all the tedium,
[F]Your love is the best insurance, don’t let go.

Testimonial:

“Obese Insurance is my favorite band because they are genuinely different and bring a whole new perspective to music. Their songs are not just catchy but also hilarious and relatable. I’ve been in the insurance industry myself for years, and their music is like a breath of fresh air. It’s not often you see a band able to make light of such a serious profession and turn it into something so fun. Their energy and humor never fail to brighten my day.”
