Backstory:
Shiny Construction was born out of a chance meeting at a metal works factory in the bustling city of Chicago. Lifelong friends, Mike “The Hammer” Johnson and Jimmy “Pipes” Peterson, both metalworkers by trade, found common ground in their love for music that matched the rhythm and intensity of their day jobs: loud, persistent, and brilliantly raw. They decided to form a band, infusing the spirit of their hard labor jobs and the vitality of their city into their music. With Mike on vocals and guitar and Jimmy on drums, they started jamming in their workshop, amidst the cacophony of their tools and machinery. They brought in Vanessa “Weld” Wilson on bass and Tony “Screws” Martin on lead guitar, completing the lineup of Shiny Construction.

Title:
“Hard Hat Sonata”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
Am G
Under the city lights, amidst the steel and stone,
Dm Am
We swing our hammers high, hear the metals groan.
Am G
Hard hats on our heads, steel boots on our feet,
Dm Am
We play this symphony on the city’s concrete beat.
(Chorus)
F C
Hard Hat Sonata, our anthem loud and clear,
G Am
In the rhythm of the city, for the world to hear.
F C
We rise, we build, in sweat and toil we trust,
G Am
Hard Hat Sonata, in metal we thrust.
(Verse)
Am G
Through fire and sparks, amidst the welding light,
Dm Am
We bend, we mold, in the endless night.
Am G
In the clang and clatter, in the hiss and hum,
Dm Am
Under the starry sky, we beat our industrial drum.
(Chorus)
F C
Hard Hat Sonata, our anthem loud and clear,
G Am
In the rhythm of the city, for the world to hear.
F C
We rise, we build, in sweat and toil we trust,
G Am
Hard Hat Sonata, in metal we thrust.
(Outro)
F C
Raise your hammers high, let them hear the sound,
G Am
Of our hard hat sonata, where dreams are found.
The band’s favorite fan’s name and testimonial:
Tommy “Rivet” Richards – “Shiny Construction isn’t just my favorite band because I can relate to their music as a fellow worker in the metal industry. Their songs echo the spirit of our daily grind, capturing the essence of our world in their powerful riffs and raw lyrics. They’ve managed to turn the noise of our work into something beautiful and inspiring. Their music gives me the motivation to keep going, to build, to create, and to rise. Shiny Construction is more than just a band to me, they are the soundtrack of my life.”
