Backstory:
Sleepy Tongue was formed in 2018 by a group of high school friends from the small town of Lakeport, Oregon. The original lineup included lead vocalist and songwriter, Ezra Star, guitarist Leo Mason, bassist Riley Keegan, and drummer Max Harper. Before Sleepy Tongue, they were just a band of misfits who shared a mutual love for music and rebellion. After graduating, the quartet decided to pursue their passion for music professionally, moving to Los Angeles to make a name for themselves.
In the City of Angels, Sleepy Tongue fought to be heard in a sea of emerging talents. Their breakthrough came in 2019 when they played at a local music festival, catching the attention of a renowned producer who saw potential in their raw and honest sound. Since then, Sleepy Tongue has never looked back, creating music that reflects their journey, their struggles, and their dreams.

“Bleeding Echoes”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G]Tasted the fire, it was [D]bitter and cold,
[Em]Chasing the echoes of the lies we [C]sold.
[G]Stuck in a trap, too [D]scared to unfold,
[Em]But our truth was never to be [C]controlled.
(Chorus)
[G]We are the bleeding echoes, [D]lost in the fray,
[Em]Shouting our stories in the [C]light of the day.
[G]We are the voices, [D]never led astray,
[Em]In the silent whispers, we find our [C]way.
(Verse 2)
[G]The city sleeps, we’re [D]awake and bold,
[Em]Haunted by dreams, in our hands they [C]mold.
[G]Unseen battles, tales [D]yet untold,
[Em]In the bleeding echoes, we find our [C]hold.
(Repeat Chorus)
