Lucky Skin

Backstory:
Lucky Skin was formed in the heart of Chicago’s music scene in 2012, by lead vocalist and drummer Jake Bailey and lead guitarist and backing vocalist, Noah Foster. The pair met at a local open mic night where Bailey’s passionate drumming and Foster’s melodic guitar playing echoed harmoniously. Realizing their creative compatibility, they decided to form a band. Later, they were joined by bassist, Heather Thompson, and keyboard player, Mike Riley, two musically gifted friends they met during a music festival. The name “Lucky Skin” was derived from a phrase scrawled on a wall backstage at their first gig, which they took as a sign of good fortune.

Genre:
Indie Rock/Alternative

Title:
“Shimmering Shadows”

Full song lyrics with chord progression:

(Verse 1 – Am, C, G, D)

As the night falls, we’re under the shimmering shadows, (Am, C)
Could it be love or just another fleeting echo? (G, D)

Between the whispers, we’re lost in silent pictures, (Am, C)
Underneath the moonlight, we’re dancing in the echoes. (G, D)

(Chorus – F, C, G)

Shimmering shadows, can you feel the hallow? (F, C)
In every heartbeat, there’s a song of sorrow, (G, C)
In the echoes of tomorrow, we find our way home. (F, C, G)

(Verse 2 – Am, C, G, D)

As the dawn breaks, we’re caught in the shimmering shadows, (Am, C)
Could it be a dream, or just a sadness that we borrow? (G, D)

In the silence, there’s a whisper of a promise, (Am, C)
Under the sunlight, we’re living in the echoes. (G, D)

(Chorus – F, C, G)

Shimmering shadows, can you hear the hollow? (F, C)
In every silence, there’s a tale of sorrow, (G, C)
In the echoes of tomorrow, we find our love. (F, C, G)
