Honest Catalogue

Backstory:
Honest Catalogue began as a duo of college roommates, Evan Johnson (vocals, guitar) and Paul Simmons (drums, backing vocals), who bonded over their mutual love for unconventional rock and a shared frustration over the misleading facades of the commercial music industry. They started jamming together in their dorm room, creating music that was raw, fresh, and brutally honest. As their sounds evolved, they added Lydia Weber (bass, vocals) and Kevin Martinez (keyboard, vocals) to the mix. Together they formed Honest Catalogue, a band committed to creating music that reflects the truth of the human experience, in all its messy, beautiful chaos.

“Pages of Reality”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
Scribbling down thoughts, on paper-thin lines
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
Reality twists, it’s harder to define
Dm (Dm7) E (E7)
Pull back the cover, see what’s inside
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
A raw, unfiltered, emotional ride

(Chorus)
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
We are the pages of reality
Dm (Dm7) E (E7)
Worn and torn, but singing free
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
Honest Catalogue, we bare our soul
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
To help you heal, to make you whole

(Verse 2)
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
Ink stains of heartbreak, lines of joy
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
Every emotion we employ
Dm (Dm7) E (E7)
Our truth is loud, it can’t be denied
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
In the pages of reality, we’ve nothing to hide

(Chorus)
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
We are the pages of reality
Dm (Dm7) E (E7)
Worn and torn, but singing free
Am (Am7) G (Gmaj7)
Honest Catalogue, we bare our soul
F (Fmaj7) C (Cmaj7)
To help you heal, to make you whole

Fan’s Testimonial:
“My name is Erin, and Honest Catalogue is hands down my favourite band. I love how their music isn’t just catchy, it’s real. It speaks to me on a level that most bands just don’t reach. Their song “Pages of Reality” just hits so close to home every time I hear it. It’s like they’ve somehow managed to articulate my emotions in a way I never could. It’s raw, it’s emotional and it’s authentic. And that’s what makes them my favourite band.”
