Tidy Failure

Backstory:
Tidy Failure was born out of a shared university dormitory in the heart of Liverpool, England. The four members, frontman James Moreland, guitarist Simon Rees, bassist John “Jack” Cleary, and drummer Oliver Chester, met while studying various disciplines. Their shared love for the quirky and eccentric side of life and music inspired them to form the band in 2012. The name ‘Tidy Failure’ came from an inside joke about their collective inability to keep their shared living space clean despite their best efforts, which eventually turned into a metaphor for life’s unpredictable yet beautiful chaos.

Genre: Indie Rock

Title: ‘Unruly Echoes’

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Skies are [D] turning red,
[Em] Words we [C] haven’t said,
[G] Chasing [D] ghosts instead,
[Em] In our [C] untidy beds.

(Chorus)
[G] We are [D] the unruly echoes,
[Em] Spinning [C] in the chaos,
[G] We’re a [D] tidy failure,
[Em] Perfect [C] in our disorder.

(Verse 2)
[G] Painted [D] souls, unraveling,
[Em] Life’s a [C] messy painting,
[G] Love’s a [D] wild journey,
[Em] We’re just [C] sailing.

(Chorus)
[G] We are [D] the unruly echoes,
[Em] Dancing [C] in the chaos,
[G] We’re a [D] tidy failure,
[Em] Perfect [C] in our disorder.

(Outro)
[G] So, here’s to [D] the unruly echoes,
[Em] In our [C] tidy failure,
[G] We’re [D] perfect in our disorder,
[Em] Echoing [C] forever.

Testimonial: “I’ve been a fan of Tidy Failure since their dorm days. Their music resonates with my life, my struggles, my joys, and my failures. They have a unique way of turning life’s ordinary moments into extraordinary lyrical paintings. There’s a realness to them that’s hard to find in the music industry these days. ‘Unruly Echoes’ is my favourite, it’s like they took the chaos of my life and turned it into a beautiful melody. Tidy Failure is more than a band to me; they are my safe haven in the middle of life’s tidy failures.”
