Double Construction hails from the bustling city of Chicago, a place known as a melting pot of music genres, from blues to rock to jazz. The band was formed in 2005 by childhood friends and carpenters, Jackson “Jack” Martinez and Daniel “Danny” Thompson. They spent their days building houses and their nights crafting songs, hence the band name ‘Double Construction.’
Their journey began in a small garage filled with construction tools and musical instruments, symbolizing their dual passions. With Jack on the guitar and Danny on the drums, they started playing at local bars, gaining a following with their unique sound. Over the years, they added bassist, Mike Simmons, and keyboardist, Eve Lewis, amplifying the band’s depth and dynamism.
