Unwieldy Food

Backstory:

Unwieldy Food took root in a cramped London flat in the mid-90s, where four friends, fresh out of uni, found their calling in life. The band members, Jake, Sarah, Matt, and Robyn, had all dabbled in music during their student days, but had never thought of turning their passion into a profession – until an impromptu jam session led to the creation of their first song. Named after a joke about a disastrous cooking mishap, Unwieldy Food was born.

Inspired by the grunge movement across the pond, they infused their sound with a uniquely British touch, blending heavy electric guitar riffs with quirky lyrics and catchy pop hooks. As they played local gigs, their fanbase grew, and their distinctive style caught the attention of several record labels. Their debut album, “Edible Noise”, released in 1999, catapulted them to stardom, and they’ve been rocking out ever since.

Title:

“Cherry Pie Catastrophe”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Em G D A
Cherry pie in the sky, one big lie,
Em G D A
Crust too hard, fruit too dry.

[Chorus]
C G D Em
Cherry pie catastrophe,
C G D Em
You’re the sweetest tragedy,
C G D Em
Baked in heat, served in cold,
C G D Em
Your story’s been untold.

[Verse 2]
Em G D A
Too much sugar, not enough spice,
Em G D A
A culinary roll of the dice.

[Chorus]
C G D Em
Cherry pie catastrophe,
C G D Em
You’re my kitchen mystery,
C G D Em
In the oven, under the light,
C G D Em
I taste the chaos in every bite.

Bands Favorite Fan:

Our favorite fan is Tim Kelly. As Tim once said in a testimonial, “I’ve been following Unwieldy Food since their first gig at the local pub. Their music resonates with me in a way nothing else does. The sharp guitar riffs, the playful lyrics, and the raw energy they bring to every performance is like nothing I’ve ever seen. They’re more than just a band to me – they’re a part of who I am. Unwieldy Food forever!” Tim’s loyalty and passion for our music is truly inspiring.
