Backstory:

Buzzing Current took its first breath in the humid, music-filled streets of New Orleans in 2011. Childhood friends, Jason “Jazz” Ridley, a self-taught drummer inherited his father’s old drum set, and Ethan “E-Train” Thompson, a lyrical prodigy who could play a guitar like it was an extension of his soul, decided that it was time to unleash their music to the world. They blended their unique styles, Jazz’s love for funk and groove, and E-Train’s affinity for blues and rock, and the result was electrifying. The duo started out playing at local clubs and pubs, but their raw energy and infectious rhythms were too powerful to be contained within those four walls. Soon, Buzzing Current grew into a sensation, gaining momentum both locally and nationally, all while maintaining their edgy, rebellious spirit that had first sparked their creation.

Our favorite fan is Lily, a cheerful middle-aged woman from our neighborhood. Lily has been watching us since our first gig at a local club. She is our biggest supporter and her presence is a constant at all our shows.
