Backstory:
Distinct Ms is a band that was born in the bustling city of Seattle, Washington in 2007. Its founding members, lead vocalist and guitarist Emma Clarke, bass guitarist Rosa Martinez, drummer Alice Kim, and keyboardist Lisa Thompson, met at the University of Washington during a music theory class. They soon discovered a shared interest in creating music that resonated with their experiences as young women navigating the modern world. After several late-night jam sessions and songwriting marathons in their shared apartment, Distinct Ms was born. Since then, they have been challenging the status quo of the music industry, making their mark with their thought-provoking lyrics, captivating melodies, and unmistakable chemistry on stage.
