Official Legislation

Backstory:
Official Legislation was born in the unforgiving cold of Edmonton, Canada, in the winter of 2008. Founding members and school friends Jeff Turner (lead vocals, guitar), Ben McAllister (drums), Lily Adams (bass, backing vocals) and Sam Mills (keyboard, synth) found solace in their shared love for music amidst the harsh Canadian winters. The band started as a high school project, but the chemistry among them was undeniable. They soon began to cover songs and perform in local venues. It didn’t take long for them to realize that they wanted to create their own music, reflecting their thoughts, dreams, and the everyday struggles of the millennial generation.

The band’s big break came in 2012 when they were spotted by a talent scout during a live performance. They were soon signed to an independent record label and their journey to stardom began. Despite the rapid ascension, the band remains true to its roots, drawing inspiration from their humble beginnings and translating that into music that resonates with listeners worldwide.

Title:
“Corridors of Time”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Wandering through the corridors of time,
[Em] Lost in the maze of our own design,
[C] The world outside is moving too fast,
[D] We’re holding onto shadows of the past.

(Chorus)
[G] In these corridors of time,
[Em] We search for truths divine,
[C] With every step we climb,
[D] Hoping the stars align.

(Verse 2)
[G] Trapped in the echoes of yesterday,
[Em] Trying to make the echoes go away,
[C] The sun will rise, a new day will dawn,
[D] We’ll keep moving, we’ll keep moving on.

(Chorus)
[G] In these corridors of time,
[Em] We leave the past behind,
[C] With every step we climb,
[D] Towards the finish line.

(Outro)
[G] Through the corridors of time,
[Em] We find our rhythm, we find our rhyme,
[C] We push on with heads held high,
[D] In these corridors of time, we learn to fly.
