Backstory:

Monstrous Daddy is an ensemble of five friends from small town Georgia who found their common ground in a love for music and a yearning for a life beyond their humble beginnings. Their charismatic front man, Kurt ‘Deuce’ Franklin, with his golden vocal cords, was the son of a preacher and a choir director. He was joined by guitar maestro Leon ‘Twink’ Hargrove, bass enthusiast David ‘Rumble’ Jacobs, the rhythmically gifted drummer Sam ‘Boomstick’ Murphy, and the multi-talented instrumentalist, Peter ‘Strings’ Kelvin. The boys took parts of their roots and their shared love for blues and rock to create a sound that was distinct yet familiar, an eclectic blend of the old and new.

Monstrous Daddy started their journey in the local music scene, performing at small bars, community events, and any place that would give them a stage. Their authentic sound and electrifying performances quickly garnered them a loyal fan base, which soon catapulted them from their hometown to the national stage. Through the years, their music has continued to evolve, but the raw energy, charisma, and deep southern roots that define Monstrous Daddy remain strongly intact.

The band’s favorite fan is a cheerful elderly lady named Millie Thompson. Millie first saw Monstrous Daddy perform at her local church festival and has been their number one supporter ever since.
