Backstory:
Second Length originated in the quiet streets of Charleston, South Carolina, in 2010. Composed of three childhood friends: lead singer and guitarist Kyle Hansen, drummer Dan Thompson, and bassist Ricky Alvarez. The trio had a shared passion for music, spending countless hours in their shared garage writing and developing their distinctive sound. Their unique blend of rock and blues with a Southern twist quickly started to catch the attention of the local scene and soon, they were playing at local bars and music festivals, gaining a strong following of dedicated fans.
In 2015, after years of playing covers, they decided to take the plunge and began writing and performing their original music. Their debut album, ‘Length Matters’, brought them national attention and a record deal. Despite their quick rise to fame, the band remained committed to their roots, often returning to Charleston to play surprise gigs and give back to the community that supported them from the start.

Title: “Whiskey Lullaby”
Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G
Late at night in a smokey bar,
C D
Under a dim, flickering neon star.
Am G
She walked in with a lonely smile,
C D
Dressed in sorrow, dripping style.
(Chorus)
Em G
She’s my whiskey lullaby, oh, sweet and harsh,
Am C
A dance of shadows under the arch.
Em G
Her love is a tale of tender scars,
Am C
She’s my moonlight song, my fallen stars.
(Verse 2)
Am G
Broken hearts in her wake,
C D
Promises too easy to break.
Am G
But I can’t resist her southern charm,
C D
In her arms, I find a quiet calm.
(Chorus)
Em G
She’s my whiskey lullaby, a burning rush,
Am C
Her laughter echoes in the hush.
Em G
Her memory fades as the morning starts,
Am C
She’s my silent sigh, my broken hearts.
Outro:
Am G
So here’s to you, my whiskey lullaby,
C D
To the love that came and said goodbye.
