Backstory:
Capital Veil was formed in 2015 as a high school garage band in Seattle, Washington. Childhood friends Jack O’Reilly (vocals), Alex Turner (guitar), Daisy Williams (bass), and Ben Richardson (drums) all shared a common passion for music, each adding their unique flavor to the mix. They spent countless hours perfecting their craft, showing a dedication and tenacity that belied their youth. When they won a local talent contest, they gained a small following that encouraged them to pursue music more seriously. The band devoted themselves wholeheartedly to music, honing their skills and gradually defining their unique sound.
Once they graduated, the friends decided to try their luck in the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles. They faced many setbacks, but their unyielding spirit kept them going. The name “Capital Veil” was chosen to reflect their feelings towards the city, which they loved but also found overwhelming. They saw LA as a place filled with promises and pitfalls, a magical city that could make dreams come true or shatter them utterly – a ‘capital’ hidden behind a ‘veil.’

C [Em] – City of angels and demons,
Am [D] – Hidden behind a veil of dreams,
F [G] – We came seeking fortune and fame,
