Backstory:
Formed in the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas, in 2016, Curvy Army emerged from the collective musings of four childhood friends. The members, lead vocalist Sadie Evergreen, lead guitarist Corbin ‘CJ’ Johnson, bassist Riley ‘Riff’ Thompson, and drummer Kit ‘Kick’ Mars, had been bouncing around the local music scene for years, playing in various bands and music projects. They all realized that their unique mix of musical influences and styles created something truly special when combined. Fed up with the restrictions of their previous bands, they decided to forge their own path, and thus, Curvy Army was born. The band’s name was a nod to the body positivity movement and their mission to create a music space where everyone feels accepted and loved.
