Backstory:
Colorful Portfolio was formed in the vibrant heart of New York City in 2008. The band consists of four members: lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Madison, bassist and backup vocalist Amy Peterson, drummer Alex Holland, and keyboardist Luke Roberts. They met while studying at the renowned Julliard School where they shared a common passion for music and an unconventional approach to creating it. Their desire to break away from the norm led to the formation of Colorful Portfolio – a name that perfectly encapsulates their eclectic style and vast array of influences.
The band began their journey performing in local bars and clubs, slowly building a dedicated fan base. Their breakthrough came in 2012 when they won the “Battle of the Bands” at the iconic CBGB, catching the attention of a music producer in the audience. This led to a recording contract, and their career sky-rocketed from there. Despite their success, the band has remained grounded, often returning to their roots to play in the same local venues where they started.
