Backstory:
Born in the heart of the bustling metropolis of Seattle, four friends found an escape from their everyday lives through the language of music. The quartet, consisting of Nate “Noodle” Anderson on vocals, Ben “Benny” Johnson on drums, Isaac “Izzy” Rodriguez on bass, and Sam “Slam” Thompson on lead guitar, formed the band ‘Occasional Goat’ in the summer of 2010. Named after a humorous incident involving a goat wandering onto their rehearsal space during one of their early practice sessions, the band’s name soon became symbolic of their unpredictable, spontaneous energy and free spirit. Building a strong local following with their energetic performances and offbeat humor, Occasional Goat became a mainstay of Seattle’s vibrant music scene.

“Concrete Jungle Rumble”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G
Living in the city, it’s a concrete maze,
F E
People rushing by, caught in the haze.
Am G
Skyscrapers high, touching the sky,
F E
In the urban wilderness we learn to fly.
(Chorus)
Am G F E
Concrete jungle rumble, the city never sleeps,
Am G F E
We’re dancing in the shadows while the night creeps.
Am G F E
Echoes of the traffic, the neon signs we mumble,
Am G F E
Lost in the rhythm of the concrete jungle rumble.
(Verse 2)
Am G
Blacktop jungle, a midnight chase,
F E
In the city lights, we find our space.
Am G
Walking empty streets, silence so loud,
F E
In the heart of the city, we stand proud.
(Chorus)
Am G F E
Concrete jungle rumble, the city never sleeps,
Am G F E
We’re dancing in the shadows while the night creeps.
Am G F E
Echoes of the traffic, the neon signs we mumble,
Am G F E
Lost in the rhythm of the concrete jungle rumble.
(Bridge)
Am G
Graffiti on the walls, tell our story,
F E
In the city’s heart, we find our glory.
(Chorus)
Am G F E
Concrete jungle rumble, the city never sleeps,
Am G F E
We’re dancing in the shadows while the night creeps.
Am G F E
Echoes of the traffic, the neon signs we mumble,
Am G F E
Lost in the rhythm of the concrete jungle rumble.

Testimonial:
Lisa Thompson recalls her first encounter with Occasional Goat. “It was at this small, intimate venue in Capitol Hill. Their energy was infectious, and they had this unique sound that was a refreshing change from the typical alternative rock scene. Their song ‘Concrete Jungle Rumble’ resonates with my experience of living in the city. It finds beauty in the chaos, and I think that’s what makes it so special. Occasional Goat is my favorite band because their music speaks to me. It’s raw, real, and it captures the essence of being young in an urban landscape.”
