Backstory:
Cloudy Expansion is a four-piece band hailing from the seaside town of Brighton, England. The band was formed in the autumn of 2015 when lead vocalist and guitarist, Noah St. James, met drummer, Eli Burton, in a local pub during an open mic night. Both were passionate about music and shared a similar taste. They decided to form a band and soon were joined by bassist Oliver Davis and keyboardist Ruby Thompson, who added the final touches to the band’s unique sound.
The band spent many hours in Noah’s garage, honing their sound and writing songs that represented their shared dreams, fears, and experiences. They played their first gig in a small pub in Brighton and were immensely surprised by the crowd’s positive reaction. On that night, Cloudy Expansion was officially born, and they never looked back.
Genre:
Cloudy Expansion fits comfortably in the Alternative Rock genre, with influences of Indie Pop and Post-Punk Revival.
