Backstory:
Formed in the heart of the midwest, Remorseful Bill was born from the ashes of a blue-collar, American dreamscape. The quartet of childhood friends, comprising of lead singer and guitarist Blake Ender, bassist Tim McLean, drummer Roy Jenkins, and keyboardist Pat O’Sullivan, took the rock scene by storm in the early 2000s as they began to translate their heartache, joys, and life stories into soulful tunes, infused with a tinge of country. Named after a local legend of a remorseful cowboy named Bill, the band’s narrative-driven music resonates with the common folk, making them a sensation in the underbelly of the music landscape.

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
G Em C D
[G] Down the old dust road, under the [Em] crumbling sky,
[C] Bill, he was a wanderer, with pain in his [D] eyes.
[G] He had a heart full of sorrows, and a [Em] bottle of rye,
[C] Singing his whiskey lullaby, under the [D] moon so high.
(Chorus)
G D Em C
[G] Whiskey, oh, whiskey, drown my [D] sorrow,
[Em] Under the starless sky, waiting for the [C] morrow.
[G] Whiskey, oh, whiskey, you’re a betrayer so [D] sly,
[Em] Where’s my piece of heaven, [C] singing my whiskey lullaby?
(Verse 2)
G Em C D
[G] Lost love, broken dreams, and a [Em] tale of despair,
[C] Bill, he was a broken man, living on [D] prayer.
[G] His tears were lost in the bottle, [Em] no one to care,
[C] Singing his whiskey lullaby, life’s an [D] unfair affair.
(Repeat Chorus)
End:
G Em C D
[G] So here’s to old Bill, a man [Em] so real,
[C] Chasing ghosts of the past, trying to [D] heal.
[G] His legacy lives in us, [Em] let’s take the deal,
[C] Singing our whiskey lullaby, [D] feeling Remorseful Bill.
