Chief Enemy

Backstory:

Formed in the gritty underbelly of New York City’s Lower East Side in 2013, Chief Enemy emerged as an unabashedly authentic expression of the urban struggle. Composed of four lifelong friends – lead vocalist Danny “Chief” Conroy, guitarist Jimmy “Enemy” Evers, bassist Mickey Magnum, and drummer Frankie “The Beat” Bianco – the band started as a way for these musicians to channel their shared experiences of growing up in a neighborhood fraught with decay and crime. As they honed their unique sound, their music became an anthem for their community, transcending boundaries and resonating with a global audience.

“Concrete Jungle”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Em
Walking down the alleyways, under neon skies,
C
Eyes wide open, no room for disguise,
G
Concrete jungle, where dreams are made,
D
But under the surface, innocence fades.

(Chorus)
Em
We’re the sound, you can’t ignore,
C
From the top of the tower, to the basement floor,
G
In the concrete jungle, where we survive,
D
We’re Chief Enemy, keeping punk alive.

(Verse 2)
Em
On these broken streets, we found our voice,
C
In the noise and chaos, we made a choice,
G
To fight the system, with every breath,
D
We’re Chief Enemy, till the end, till death.

(Chorus)
Em
We’re the sound, you can’t ignore,
C
From the top of the tower, to the basement floor,
G
In the concrete jungle, where we survive,
D
We’re Chief Enemy, keeping punk alive.

(Bridge)
Em
Through the noise, and the grime, and the grit,
C
In this city, we’ll never quit,
G
Chasing dreams, down the avenue,
D
We’re Chief Enemy, and this is our view.

(Chorus)
Em
We’re the sound, you can’t ignore,
C
From the top of the tower, to the basement floor,
G
In the concrete jungle, where we survive,
D
We’re Chief Enemy, keeping punk alive.

Bands Favorite Fan:

Chief Enemy’s favorite fan is a young woman named Tina. Tina was born and raised in the same neighborhood as the band members and has been a staunch supporter from their very first gig in a rundown local bar. She was the band’s first “merch girl”, selling homemade band tees out of her backpack.

Tina’s Testimonial:

“Chief Enemy is more than just a band to me, they’re a lifeline. Their music depicts the struggles we face in this harsh cityscape. It’s raw, and it’s real. When I hear Danny’s voice scream out over the crowd, it’s like he’s singing our collective experiences, our shared pain, and our unwavering resilience. Chief Enemy is the heartbeat of our community, they’re the voice we didn’t know we had.”
