Song Title:
“Balance Sheet Blues”

Song Lyrics:
[Verse]
C G
In the world of profit and loss,
Dm Am
Where my dreams are gathering dust,
C G
In the maze of cubicles and screens,
Dm Am
Where my soul cries out for release.

[Chorus]
F C
I got the Balance Sheet blues,
G C
The corporate noose around my shoes,
F C
Can’t calculate the cost of my dreams,
G Am
They’re lost in a ledger, it seems.

[Verse]
C G
Paper stacks as high as the sky,
Dm Am
And my spirit yearns to fly,
C G
All I got is this stifling tie,
Dm Am
And a heart that’s wondering why.

[Chorus]
F C
I got the Balance Sheet blues,
G C
My life’s a PowerPoint of hues,
F C
Trading my passion for a paycheck,
G Am
In the corporation’s deck.

Testimonial:
“I was trapped in the corporate grind, and Suspicious Subsidiary’s music became my escape. Their lyrics spoke to me on a deep level. It’s not just music for me; it’s a way of reclaiming a part of myself that’s being stifled by the corporate world. They might have started as a joke, but their music helped me hold onto my dreams in this grey, monotonous world. ” – Maggie Johnson.
