Backstory:
Born in the bustling, eclectic heart of Brooklyn, New York, Precious Rise is the brainchild of lead vocalist Joanne ‘Jo’ Hall and guitarist David ‘Davy’ Anderson. Jo and Davy met at an underground open mic night in 2012, and immediately connected over their shared love for music that transcends boundaries. They quickly came to realize that their individual music styles complemented each other beautifully, and the idea of forming a band was a natural progression. In 2013, after several successful collaborative performances and the addition of drummer Stella ‘Stell’ Barnes and bassist Mike ‘Mikey’ Johnson, Precious Rise was officially formed. Over the years, Precious Rise’s unique blend of sound has gained them a dedicated fan base, and their performances, brimming with energy and soul, are routinely sold out.

“Drift Away”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse)
[Em] I saw the sun [C] set in your eyes,
[G] Colors explode like the fourth of [D] July.
[Em] You speak in riddles, [C] soft and sweet,
[G] We dance to the rhythm of our heart[D]beat.
(Chorus)
[Am] Drift away with me, [C] under starlit skies,
[G] Let’s lose ourselves, where the [D] ocean lies.
[Am] Chase the moon, [C] catch the wind,
[G] With you, my love, let the adventure [D] begin.
(Verse)
[Em] Your laughter’s a melody, [C] it’s my favorite song,
[G] I could listen to it all [D] day long.
[Em] We’re painting stories [C] on the canvas of night,
[G] You and me, baby, we’re a beautiful [D] sight.
(Chorus)
[Am] Drift away with me, [C] under starlit skies,
[G] Let’s lose ourselves, where the [D] ocean lies.
[Am] Chase the moon, [C] catch the wind,
[G] With you, my love, let the adventure [D] begin.

Lucy Martin, a diehard fan from the early days, says, “Precious Rise isn’t just my favorite band because they create amazing music. Their lyrics speak to my soul, and there’s something so raw and authentic about their performances. It’s like they pour their hearts out on stage, and it resonates with me. No other band can match that. They have the power to make me feel seen and understood, and their music has been with me through highs and lows, always making things a little brighter. Precious Rise is more than just a band to me; they’re part of my life’s soundtrack.”
