Backstory:
Wavy Merchant, an eccentric, alternative rock band, was formed in the heart of New York City’s vibrant music scene during the late 2000s. The band was founded by long-time friends and roommates, Leo Sullivan (vocalist & guitarist) and Max Russo (drummer), who shared a mutual love for experimental rock and a desire to push boundaries of mainstream music. Recruiting the enigmatic Fiona Blanchard as a bassist and a synth wizard, Jasper Reid, the band soon began intriguing audiences with their fusion of anthemic guitar riffs and synth-driven melodies, grounded by Fiona’s hypnotic bass lines and Max’s pulsating drum beats.
Wavy Merchant quickly gained a following for their unpredictable live shows and their non-conformist approach to songwriting and arranging. With their refreshingly quirky approach to music and a reputation for their electrifying performances, Wavy Merchant has since taken their place as one of the most unique and exciting bands on the alternative rock scene.

In the cityscape, under a neon glow,

Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is Ryan Mitchell. Ryan has been a die-hard fan of Wavy Merchant since their earliest club shows. He’s always at the front of the crowd, belting out the lyrics and his passion for the band’s music is hard to miss. According to Ryan, “Wavy Merchant isn’t just a band, it’s an experience. Their music is a fusion of nostalgia and novelty, it’s like they’ve taken the best parts of rock history and spun it into something entirely their own. There’s not a single song of theirs that doesn’t give me goosebumps.”
